The
department of Internal Medicine is one of the leading departments among Prince
Sultan Armed Forces Hospital in Madinah. The department mission is to achieve
excellence in clinical services. It is staffed with 9 consultants, who are
specialized in various fields of internal medicine including, cardiology,
nephrology, gastroenterology, endocrinology, pulmonology and a visiting
neurologist consultant.
The
department has 33 beds which for acute care medicine and 5 beds for critical
care and 6 beds for 16 hours a day haemodialysis (with 2 -ve pressure isolation
rooms).
The
department conduct more than 29 OPD clinics. The department provide primary and
secondary care to its patient with the help of a fully equipped and staff
laboratory, radiology and pharmacy services in addition to other support
services and a dedicated home health care program.
