and nurses
- The
Department of Ophthalmology provides its services in the outpatient clinics,
the inpatient and the emergency departments
- The
Department of Ophthalmology diagnoses and treats various eye diseases such as
refractive errors and strabismus, eye infections and inflammations, glaucoma
and diabetic retinopathy
- It
also conducts visual acuity assessments, makes eyeglasses measurements, and
various investigations such as corneal topography and thickness, visual field
exam, intraocular lens measurement.
- It
also performs emergency and scheduled eye operations such as cataract
extraction using the phaco machine with lens implant, pterygiym excision with a
graft.
